Kalamazoo sponsor Infection Control conference – Oct 09
Kalamazoo will be sponsoring the Infection Control conference on Thursday 1st October 2009 at the Barbican Centre in London.
The event will be focusing on methods for controlling the spread of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs). Guest speakers for the day include the Secretary of State for health and Director for the National Audit Office among many other infection control experts.
Statistics show that one in ten patients acquire a HCAI and those who do contract an infection stay in hospital nearly three times longer than ordinary patients, placing tremendous pressure on our already strapped-for-cash health services (according to www.dh.gov.uk).
