Kalamazoo showcase at UKGCVA Conference '09

Birmingham based Kalamazoo Secure Solutions Limited, the leading secure print and solution provider, will be exhibiting at The Voucher Association Conference in London.

Now in its sixth year The Voucher Association Conference is firmly established as the leading one day event for players in the gift voucher and gift card market.  The event takes place on Wednesday 29th April 2009 at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London and will focus on learning through the various seminars whilst also concentrating on networking, meeting colleagues and establishing new contacts.

The gift voucher market is an evolving market due to the introduction of new legislation and regulations, as well as the implementation of new and exciting technological improvements.

The gift voucher, gift card and stored value solutions market is worth an estimated £3bn per year*. Kalamazoo have firmly established themselves as market leaders, providing such solutions to retailers.

Richard Farmer, UK Sales Director for Kalamazoo comments “Vouchers are high on the list for forgeries because of their monetary value. As gift vouchers can have a high face value they are prime targets for fraudsters. Kalamazoo understands that the best way to beat the fraudsters is to integrate specialist security features that make it virtually impossible to replicate them and easier to differentiate duplicates.”

Richard continues “Many vouchers in circulation are poorly designed with inadequate security features. Counterfeiting of security documents like vouchers has expanded in recent years as a result of the availability of the latest inexpensive, hi-tech equipment. Scanners, copiers and graphics software have made it easier for counterfeiters to make copies of vouchers that do not incorporate adequate levels of security”.

Kalamazoo has many years experience in producing secure documents such as cheques that are approved by the APACS accreditation scheme, and it is this expertise that we apply to our voucher designs. Anti-photocopying technology, thermochromic inks, watermarked paper, sequential numbering and holographic foils are just some of the specialist security features that can be incorporated into our vouchers to ensure protection against fraud.
